Was born in the late ’70s in the USSR, studied Physics and Math in the ’90s, and then moved to the USA to pursue a PhD degree. Upon completion of my dissertation went to work for the financial industry. Enjoyed the art of photography for over a decade now, but worked up the courage to pick up a camera myself only relatively recently.

Maxwell’s Daemon is a character in an 1867 thought experiment by the Scottish physicist James Clerk Maxwell, meant to illustrate the Second law of Thermodynamics. The acronym for Maxwell’s Daemon, maxwelld (pronounced maxwell-dee), was devised following the naming convention of UNIX daemons (e.g. telnetd)
